Around 1618, a plague broke out in Naraijuku, and in order to quell it, it is said that the main deity of Kyozu was worshipped from Katori Jingu Shrine in Shimoso Province (Chiba Prefecture) and began to worship. The main shrine is designated as a tangible cultural property of the city, and the shrine is designated as a natural monument of the city.
Located south of Naraijuku, you will be greeted by a magnificent torii gate as you go up the slope, leading to the main shrine with a solemn atmosphere. The photographic space includes the bell on the premises and is an outdoor space.
