Gyokuryuzan Chosenji Temple

Built in 1366 during the North and South Dynasties, it has been relocated and rebuilt several times due to fires caused by war, and the present main hall was built in 1866 at the end of the Edo period.

The "Large Ceiling of the Dragon", which is about 20 meters long and 3.5 meters wide on the main road, is also a god of Buddhist guardianship and a god of water, meaning to protect the building from fire.

The cage hanging from the ceiling at the main hall window in the photo was actually used at the end of the Edo period.Satsuma clan samurai Fukuzaki seven-no-yu was riding.In 1853, during the foreboding of the Great Matrix from Edo to Satsuma clan, he died of illness while staying in Narai, and was buried in this temple.
